Product Introduction:
Genezap Nucleic Acid Cleaner can effectively eliminate and degrade nucleic acid (DNA/RNA) contamination on solid surfaces and airborne aerosols in a short time. Spraying for 5 minutes can efficiently remove nucleic acid contamination on the internal and external surfaces of instruments. It is suitable for degrading nucleic acids in aerosols, PCR machines, quantitative real-time PCR instruments, automatic nucleic acid extraction instruments, laboratory workbenches, biosafety cabinets, pipettes, PCR tubes, instruments, and microcentrifuge tubes. It has broad application prospects in fields such as genetic testing, molecular diagnosis, identification of bacterial and viral pathogens, and forensic identification.


Genezap Nucleic Acid Cleaner also has sterilization and disinfection effects. Spraying for 15 minutes can directly kill microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, phages, and fungi, and efficiently inactivate SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 virus) and ASFV (African Swine Fever Virus). Spraying with Genezap Nucleic Acid Cleaner for 5 minutes results in a 99.6% inhibition rate of viral plaques.

Genezap Nucleic Acid Cleaner consists of two solutions, Solution A and Solution B, both of which are safe and non-toxic. When combined, these two solutions form a short-lived, high-potency complex that degrades nucleic acids. Upon contact, most DNA is degraded within the first few seconds, with only trace amounts remaining within 30 seconds, achieving instantaneous and complete degradation of contaminating DNA and RNA. The reagent complex rapidly inactivates and degrades within 15 minutes without residue, causing no damage to equipment and no inhibition of subsequent enzymatic reactions. Note that Solution A and Solution B must not be pre-mixed and stored.

Application Scope:

Operating Steps/Usage Instructions:
1.Clean and organize the area to be sprayed. Wipe large items such as workbenches, instruments, and utensils with clean water and air-dry.
2.Spray Solution A onto the solid surfaces that require nucleic acid removal and degradation (such as workbenches, instruments, plastic or glass containers, PCR tubes, pipettes), then immediately spray Solution B.
3.Let stand for 5 minutes to remove and degrade nucleic acid contamination (DNA/RNA). For sterilization and disinfection (killing microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, phages, and fungi), extend the standing time to 15 minutes. Wash the surface twice with distilled water, then dry with clean absorbent paper (additional rinses can be performed as appropriate).

Verification Experiments:
Experimental Design
Add 0.5 μg of DNA to each of two centrifuge tubes.

Electrophoresis Verification
Add 10 μL of Solution A to Tube 1, then immediately add 10 μL of Solution B, shake slightly, centrifuge briefly, and let stand for 5 minutes. Add 20 μL of double-distilled water to Tube 2 as a control.
Take 5 μL of sample from each tube and perform 1% agarose gel electrophoresis. Observe the gel under UV light:
No bright bands are observed in Sample 1, indicating that after treatment with Genezap Nucleic Acid Cleaner, DNA is degraded to a level undetectable by electrophoresis.Clear DNA bands are observed in Sample 2.

PCR Verification
Take 1 μL of sample from Tube 1 and Tube 2 (treated as above) as PCR templates respectively. Perform PCR amplification using the same pair of primers, the same reagents, and the same PCR amplification system.After PCR, perform 1% agarose gel electrophoresis and observe the gel under UV light:
No bright bands are still observed in Sample 1, indicating that after treatment with Genezap Nucleic Acid Cleaner, DNA is completely degraded to a level undetectable by PCR.
