Product Description:
RNAstore Blood RNA Kit (for RNA isolation from RNAlater-preserved blood) is designed for use with RNAfixer (non-liquid nitrogen RNA sample preservation solution, equivalent to RNAlater). After blood collection with RNAlater, samples can be stabilized at 18–25°C for up to 3 days and at –70°C for at least 1 year. This product is used to isolate and purify RNA from whole blood preserved in RNAfixer/RNAlater, forming an integrated system for sampling, stabilization and purification. The RNAstore Blood RNA Kit system includes RNAfixer for blood collection, stabilization and transportation (supplied with the kit; RNAlater from other manufacturers may also be used), and components for isolation and purification based on silica membrane technology and spin-column method. Purification can be performed manually using a centrifuge or automated on the QIAcube Automated Nucleic Acid Purification System. This product delivers excellent performance and yields high-quality blood RNA. In most cases, the RNA yield from the same volume of blood is more than twice that obtained from blood preserved in PAXgene Blood Tubes.
